Hi, I’m Melissa

Registered Nutritionist, midlife wellness advocate, digital creator, wellness retreat creator, course creator and avid traveller with our family of 3 with Gavin and our son Jago. Together we are Ryse Wanderlust.

We left the UK in 2021 around Covid time for a better life in the sun. Since them we have been spending the cold European months in Mexico and the warmer spring and summer in Europe. 5 years on and we have gained so much insight into a different life without the 9-5 grind, a life of more freedom and travel while working online.

Ryse Wanderlust on instagram started as just an account to record our memories for us as pictures never really do it and capturing memories with videos I know will be invaluable when our one and only little boy grows up and wanders on his own path. We have managed schooling with a mix of an excellent expat bilingual private school and longer summers, where we homeschooled on those extra months from school.

My wish for our son was to learn languages, culture, travel and key life skills not only from a textbook but hands on and honestly kids just thrive to this change at the age we did this with Jago, 5. He now speaks Spanish, understands all of the above even different dialects has made life long friends from the UK and Spain and we are now ready for our next chapter moving to Spain, where he will attend an all Spanish speaking school
